It has been a while since my last post (March 5th 2012).
Any of the old faces from 11 years ago still on here? I am back on the erg and loving it. Just had a full knee replacement so have taken the opportunity to help me get back to fitness.
Only a few sessions in, first target will be sub 20min 5000m.

Yes, there are still a number of 'old-timers' still here.

Welcome back. Was active on the UK forum/blogs until I stopped in 2013. When I came back towards the end of 2016 all that resource gone and lost - tragic. Been here ever since...

Great to see another veteran coming back! I was a regular back around 2010. Have been off the erg since around 2016. Lifted in 3 Powerlifting meets after I turned 70, but have decided it's finally time to back off on the heavy lifts, so just started back on the erg last week. Should be ready for a TT in a month or so and will post my progress.

Nick Rockliff! are you still pulling some big times?
Down to 20:13 for 5000m, sub 20 should be doable in a few weeks.

Have had my moments through my 50s into my 60s but now closer to 70 than 60
still plugging away trying to stay towards the top of my age group though.

I'm still lurking around, not posting much. Glad to see you back!
I had both rotator cuffs overhauled, and the pandemic slowed us all down, but I too, am trying to get back in shape for OTW and erg racing.

That's really good progress without much longer distance, higher intensities and only four months since the op

Negative splitting is the way to go. Nice.
Was this done as a Heavyweight, or as a Glory lightweight?
