Hi, I’ve just bought a Polar H10 to replace an ancient T31 which has finally perished. I mainly use the erg and record HR through erg data, but I also use Strava when on my bike and I also want to use it to record gym sessions.
I got the H10 because it had the Bluetooth ability to connect to other apps, but I don’t seem to be able to connect it to Strava. The app can’t pick up the H10.
Has anyone else had this issue, is there a fix, or is it simply not possible?
Any and all help appreciated!
Polar H10 - Issues connecting to Strava?
Re: Polar H10 - Issues connecting to Strava?
kinda the wrong forum, suggest you hit strava or polar. H10 works great with strava and other apps. Here's some random info in hope it helps.Will11235 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2023, 7:25 amHi, I’ve just bought a Polar H10 to replace an ancient T31 which has finally perished. H10 only turns on when you are wearing it and it detects a HR. Wear the H10 for a while then try again. Some people need to wet the belt, my H10 is visible right after I put it on without wetting it. Since you use it with your PM5 this is not the problem.
1. Can you connect the h10 to polar beat? If so then you know HR belt works and you're looking for problems with Strava or the platform strava is run on (likely your phone).
2. Bluetooth only allows you to connect with one device at a time. Your H10 may be connected to your PM5 which will prevent it from connecting to Strava UNLESS you turn on the H10's second bluetooth signal. You turn on the second bluetooth signal in Polar Beat. Or you can disconnect from the PM5 using the connect menu or turning off the PM5 by hitting menu 4 times. NOTE: if polar beat and strava are both running you need both H10 bluetooth radios running, each counts as a service and BTLE only connects to one service at a time.
3. Strava stopped pairing HR sensors for a short time 3-4 years ago. That went over about as well as you'd guess it would, so they fixed it. If your version of strava is old reinstall.
4.Do you have location permissions enabled for Strava. If not, on most versions of android, the app can't use bluetooth. Not sure what you do in IOS, but you need to do something

I recently bought the same monitor. Had intermittent issues getting it to connect to certain machines. I swapped the battery and it seems to have resolved the issue.
