Is there an app that give hr alerts?

Post by sarequads » April 4th, 2021, 8:54 am

Im looking for an ios app thats compatible with the polar h10 where I can set up alerts such as when I get to 155bpm and again at 110bpm. Is there one that will do this?

Thanks

I actually had this setup using the garmin 520 and chest strap but I no longer have that device. You could setup all sorts of alerts. If I cant find an app that does this then I may have to get a garmin again. Ill see if one of the budget ones has this feature.

Polar sports watches also have this feature, called zone lock AFAIK. Perhaps see if Polar Beat app has this functionality?

Nope! If it's there, I can't access it.

My Polar HRM (chest strap + wrist receiver / watch) allows you to set a HR zone, and will let you know (via beeps and a flashing display) if you've exceed or dropped below the zone. (the beeping can be turned off if you find it to be too annoying) I originally bought it for cycling, but have also used it on my Model C. It defaults to a zone based on your age, but I've found that that's way too restrictive (both max and min are way too low) so I set the desired workout range manually instead.

The app FITIV allows me to set audio alerts for hr limits if anyone else was interested. Its a subscruption model though at £25 per year. I got the free week first to see if its going to do the job.
