Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
I use a Polar H10 which has been stellar. I know others use cheaper monitors successfully too.

I have the polar H9. Only had it 2 months but great so far.
Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
Polar OH1+, if you don't like a chest strap.

I’m sure you’ll like it. Fits nicely under my sports bra
Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
Got my H9 today. A doddle to connect to the PM5.
Only did a quick 500m test with it, accelerating to a 1:24/500 split at the end. Heart rate 155 at the end, but quickly down to 90 afterwards (90 seconds maybe).
It gives me another number to geek about

Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
Does it connect automatically to your PM5?
Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
You can get it to connect automatically if you use a USB stick that remembers the HRM

Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
My H9 connects automatically without a USB stick or false eyelashes. ;o)
Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
A bit late to this party but my OH1+ was worth every penny. 99% as accurate as a chest strap but dramatically more comfortable, secure, and easy to wear.

Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
I know a lot of people like the Garmin HRM-Dual but I had nothing but problems with mine disconnecting from the PM5 and my Ergdata app many times during rowing sessions. I switched to a Polar H10 and its rock solid, never disconnects during a row. Sometimes I need to go into egdata and disconnect and reconnect to get it started at the beginning of a row, but never in the middle like with the Garmin. So another vote of spending a few dollars more on the Polar H10

Re: Recommend me a heart rate monitor
Ive owned the Polar H10 for a month and connect it to Concept 2’s ErgData app (Bluetooth) and the PM5 (Ant+) for each row.
My friend wants to buy a HRM for her model D PM5 and wants the most economical option. This thread has me wondering if the H9 (approx $30 less expensive) also connects to ErgData app and the PM5. Would that work just as well for her? Thanks.
