I usually row during April-Sept when the football season has ended (I’m 49 and I find it’s impossible to row at same time as playing competitive sports at my age). Due to UK lockdown no sports are on so it’s erg time.
Can anyone suggest a loose 4-5 week lockdown training plan with n end goal (rowing 3-4 days a week) Thought I’d check here before I end up repeating the first four weeks of BPP I did earlier this year...which I highly recommend if you have the time.
Thanks guys!

If football is still your main focus, then i suggest that you choose a goal based on how your fitness will affect your game. If you are quick, but flag during the game, then focus on your 5k or 30'. A 20.00 5k would be a nice round target, (as would 7500m for 30', but that's way harder).Boomer wrote: ↑November 7th, 2020, 5:35 amI usually row during April-Sept when the football season has ended (I’m 49 and I find it’s impossible to row at same time as playing competitive sports at my age). If you fancy something shorter and sharper then a 1k plan could fit in very nicely.
Two longer pieces and two intervals sessions per week (one short and fast, the second a bit longer) would do for the 1k. I've not seen much agreement on a 5k plan, but lots of time at race pace seems to be the consensus.

I agree with Max's suggestions, and it does probably depend on what you want to achieve, and also what you find most enjoyable.
To keep it simple the BPP might be the best option

Thanks guys first 4 weeks of the BPP looks like the best option in that it’s all planned out and seems to have both elements covered.
