3x750 split times?

Post by Kkperrott » June 30th, 2019, 8:55 pm

My 15 year old daughter did a 3x750 erg test. She doesn’t like her 750 split times 1:48, 1:49, 1:48

Where should her time be for 3x750? What is a good time?

as long as the test was on a C2 machine and not a water rower et al then that is really a pretty good time but as Mitchell says it needs context.
Weight experience 2k time and rest between intervals all have an effect.
If you look at the C2 rankings for total last season 13-18 women the 90th percentile for 1k is @1:52 and the 2k is @1:54 and 3x 750 is not a bad indicator for 2k time.

They are all good numbers and the 3x 750 matches the others well enough - she is only going to get faster of course if all goes to plan. Tall enough to be very good I suspect.

Take it easy, those times are fast. You don't need to have her burn out.
Evidently she's done a lot of work with a good coach, having both good boatspeed and endurance.
Closer analysis can be done using rating and Watts.
But with at least ten year's career ahead, afloat, it's experience in crew with an oar or a pair of sculls that's needed, not more work.
