Not sure I’d call it a workout, but I am liking ab rollouts, Turkish getsups (even if it’s only to high hip), sitting at the bottom of a goblet squat for a couple of minutes, doing overhead squats with a light weight, KB Swings and standing marches with a KB presses overhead. Those seem to all work my “core” and help with mobility

My local gym has a machine that is like a reverse crunch

There is a bent over row that helps too... Pedal??

Plank variations: side plank, threading the needle, reverse planks, high to low planks, side planks with raised leg, stir the pot plank (forearms on a medicine ball and then circle them one way and then another) and Palov press, dead bugs, Jack knives.

With the exception of Palov Press they are all Pilates exercises.

I like this 10min core workout from Fitness Blender

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1919eTCoESo

I do it about five times a week, but before breakfast, rather than after rowing. It has a good balance of different exercises, imho. I now use 3kg ankle weights and do each exercise as fast as possible, aiming to improve muscular endurance.

Here's a Row2k article on core strengthening exercises, most, if not all overlap with dangerscouse's list: http://www.row2k.com/features/1012/Training-the-Core/

Just by rowing and doing lifting compound movements you should have a strong core already. Planks, crunches and all that stuff sounds boring :P

I really like Turkish Get-Ups, and they're a great core workout.

They're also a fairly complex movement, but well worth the effort to learn.
