What's the best alternativ when you can't row

I'm struggeling with supraspinatus tendinitis, for the last 2 months or so. I was able to row somewhat when taking Volatren, but I stopped taking these a couple of weeks back, and now rowing just 4-5 strokes is really painfull. I have had this looked at by proffesionals, and have some exersizes that honstly only makes me feel even worsh, Right now I don't see me getting in rowing shape again anytime soon, but I would like to keep my cardio and shape going as much as I can even if I can't row. I know nothing beats the rower, but what's the best alternativ when that's not a option? Swimming takes to much time, so I would prefer something I can do from home. I have an eliptical machine I use now, I try to ride my bike when there's no ice on the roads. I have also been thinking about going skiing, don't know what's it called in english but basily ski with wheels, or even inline skates.
What my best option to try to keep my muscles going and cardio in shape without the rower, any and all advice would be greatly appriciated.
