I'm struggeling with supraspinatus tendinitis, for the last 2 months or so. I was able to row somewhat when taking Volatren, but I stopped taking these a couple of weeks back, and now rowing just 4-5 strokes is really painfull. I have had this looked at by proffesionals, and have some exersizes that honstly only makes me feel even worsh, Right now I don't see me getting in rowing shape again anytime soon, but I would like to keep my cardio and shape going as much as I can even if I can't row. I know nothing beats the rower, but what's the best alternativ when that's not a option? Swimming takes to much time, so I would prefer something I can do from home. I have an eliptical machine I use now, I try to ride my bike when there's no ice on the roads. I have also been thinking about going skiing, don't know what's it called in english but basily ski with wheels, or even inline skates.
What my best option to try to keep my muscles going and cardio in shape without the rower, any and all advice would be greatly appriciated.
What's the best alternativ when you can't row

Get a turbo trainer and ride your bike indoors. I would say running but you'll need a long period to build up your resilience to the impact; if there's ice on the roads maybe off-road running where you can get more traction? Maybe even devise a little circuit training (with weights) routine that is vaugely rowing specific and with lighter weights and minimal rests between sets to keep the HR up. I think the latter would be useful if you're worried about losing bulk from pure cycling/running.

Go out, walk in the hills, or on stairs. Upperbody strenght will suffer, but fitness will stay.
If rowing is not seriously possible, better first get better. If your overall fitness stays good, rowing will pick up fast if you start out again. Don,t worry about that.

If you have supraspinatus tendinitis be a little careful about biking if that puts you into a forward flexed position with lots of weight on your arms!
