Hi all,
Quick question regarding the bluetooth model polar H7. When this is synced to the PM5 am I also able to connect the H7 to my phone at the same time to record HR zones etc on an app on my phone?
Thanks,

Don't know for sure, but I use mine with a polar watch and an iPhone app simultaneously.

i have the polar H7 and the polar M400 smart watch.
i love the watch but very disappointed by the HR7.
you cannot connect it to both the watch and the PM.
also - the strap is degrading and not lasting for more then 6 months. towards the 6th month the data is becoming inaccurate.
for such an expensive strap - im very disappointed.

Thanks for the replies,
Maybe its better to look at the Wahoo tickr x? I reading this can be picked up by multiple sources at once..?

I have one and encounter very few issues with it. Also it can connect to the PM5, a watch, and a phone all at the same time.

Found the exact same thing with my H7. Worked for around four or five months and then it was very erratic.

I have had my H7 about 3 months and use it twice a day. This past week or so it has been getting erratic as well. I went with Polar because I have a Polar A360 watch/tracker as well. If I replace this what is the best option?

I honestly don't think any of the Bluetooth options are all that great yet, but maybe I'm wrong.

Perhaps I've been lucky, but I've had mine for 2 years or thereabouts with no problems. I've never put the strap through the washing machine, even though I think you can - I just rinse it under the tap when it gets too smelly.

With regard to pairing, it may be how the bluetooth works. I know the iPhone can pair with 2 things simultaneously as I use BT headphones for music while using the phone as a HR monitor. It may be that the H7 cannot pair with two things at the same time. It's OK with my polar watch, because that's sensing just the radio frequency 'click' and isn't using BT at all. My understanding is that the H7 is a dual transmitter working with BT and a click simultaneously, but perhaps two BT at the same time is too much for it.

To my knowledge the H7 only pairs with one device.
I now wash my strap regularly to clean sweat, in the hope it will last longer.

H7 can only pair with one BT device at a time. If you want to pair with phone and PM5 has to be a Wahoo Tickr X. (So stupid Polar did't throw Ant+ in the H10, cutting your nose off to spite your face)
I have had my h7 for 2 1/2 years now and had some fun a long the way. If it stays damp even when the dongle is unplugged battery will die fast, I think I have gone through about 8 or 9 batteries.
Erratic problems with mine were solved when I noticed the battery terminal had bent inside (the terminal that touches the side, bent down too much). It just needed pushing back to be in the correct place.
Have only change the strap once, and it was the strap when I did that. Supposedly the H10 strap works with the H7 so that could be worth a try.

And what about H10? Can Polar H10 connect to PM5? And can I use it both with PM5 and phone at the same time?

Same here. Not sure quite how long I had it for, maybe four months, but it went from working perfectly to spiking and dropping during workouts. I tried a number of things to get it to work (different ways of cleaning it post workout, using conductive gel) but none made a difference. In the end I've just given up on heart rate training.
