Atlantic Row

Hi all.
I am looking for some advise from some seasoned distance rowers.
I am looking to become a member of a team who are planning on rowing the Atlantic in Dec 2018.
The full plan of the voyage is yet to be agreed upon but there are several options being considered.
Either way, this is going to be an emense challenge for all involved.
What I would like, is some advise on the type of training I should be doing? Distances I should be ergong and what sort of pace and stroke rate I should be aiming at.
I have made enquiries at my local rowing club and will hopefully be joining them in September to get some on water rowing under my belt.
I am new to rowing with probably only 800Km clocked up on the erg, so as much advise as you could give would be greatly appreciated.
I understand that,to many, this sounds like a ridiculous idea, as do I most of the time. But what is life without a challenge eh.
The Row is defiantly going to go ahead, it is just wether I make the cut to be part of the team, so any advise would be greatly received.
Best Regards
