Anyone got preferred music for erg accompaniment? Personally it always has to be very extreme metal: Cannibal Corpse, Obituary etc -- neither of which will probably appear on anyone else's list!

Mostly some Mogwai, some live Status Quo or some bluesy Chris Rea
When i am in a state to do a proper 2k again, this will be the soundtrack for it :

Granted, that will be with a replay setting for the extra 1min30 I will need but that's a moot point

I like kind of an alternative mix...Modest Mouse, Interpol, Kurt Vile, War on Drugs, Wilco, Pavement, Eels, Broken Social Scene, Tragically Hip, Traffic, Aaron Copland

I'm mostly into rock myself, but not adverse to the occasional beats.
However, I've found some fitting musical accompanyment to my 1k and 2k tests last week:
Warm-up to whatever.. I prefer UK's radio-X livestream for steady state work.
Final easy row and preparing for start: Ramones - Blitzkrieg bop (Hey, Ho lets go, amps me up and gets me ready to shred once it stops).
1k: Rammstein: Ich will (really, almost any rammstein will do).
2k: Metallica - Spit out the bone (With it's 7:09 length a good fit for my 2k speed).
I suppose 500m's need even more aggressive tunes, but I dont really listen when I'm putting in so much effort.

I'm new to spotify and like to see/listen to your playlist. When I use your url, my browser(chrome) is asking to enable flash...Is there any other way to get the playlist directly in my spotify-app?

In the spotify app, try to search for a playlist called 8x500. That's the PlayList title. My User Name is Gregory Smith, that might help.
