Using a Weightlifting Belt?

I'm wondering if using a weightlifting belt could be beneficial to establishing good form.
I slip into the bad of habit of bending at the waist instead of the hips. I'm thinking that a weightlifting belt would alleviate that problem and force me to bend at the hips. Hopefully my body would establish the physical memory of the movement.
The only negative I can foresee is that it could affect core strength and stability, but that might be negated by the yoga and core exercises that I already do.
Thoughts/opinions?
