two questions 2k and 6k

right now im rowwing 2ks my time is really bad at a 2:02.0 500 split im a sophomore in highschool and freshman are beating me im 5'10" 145 lbs and im worndering what would good workouts be to get the time down on an erg and what should i do before a test bc im on the 3rd boat and would like to be on 2cd but need a better time i just seem to not be able to push threw and keep my split low it always goes up even if i dont start off hard

Also the fall season is coming after summer and its 6k time id like to know good workouts to get ready for the fall so i can get back to the 2cd boat i think my score was 2:06:0 500 split and id like to get it down around 2:00:0 or less

It sounds to me that you are racing all of the time.......find a way to put in some longer rows 10K + so that your endurance will improve......that might help. Focus on technique at slower SPMs to groove your stroke...
