13:20 5k??????

Post by joeevans8 » June 8th, 2010, 7:39 pm

So I'm looking at the Concept2 rankings of times posted in my age bracket for 2011, and I see a 5k pulled by a Pennsylvanian named Ray Davis, age 59, as 13:20. #2 fastest time is 16:56. Hmmmmmmm, I say to myself.

Hey! That is a really great time. A 1:20 pace for 5k. This guy might get to be the first to do a sub-5 2k. All he needs is to get under 1:15, i.e. his 5k-5sec pace. It might be a bit harder getting that Ind changed to a Ind_V (or ROWPRO or C2Log).

Or another case of a misconfigured PM3/PM4.
Or someone logging metres rowed on another make of rower with an inaccurate monitor.

Try emaling denah@concept2.com with the details. AFAIK she's still overseeing the records/rankings. Alternatively use ranking@concept2.com Since the time is impossible, there should be no problem getting it corrected....
