Efficiency point of race stroke rate and drag

Post by xenotheolympian » January 16th, 2010, 12:19 am

Today I filmed a workout which helps find the efficiency point between drag and stroke rate for 2000 meter racing.
I am still uploading the workout. Will post when it is ready.

Ok you are 47 and 200 pounds at a height similar to mine. You "just" broke 7 as a PB. Without knowing you, I can tell you RIGHT NOW that you are capable for faster. What I don't know is your technique or if you have health problems.
What drag do you use?

I have the direct download buttons live on www.row2go.us
Follow the workout and see how you find the efficiency point between drag and stroke rates. We did this type of workout on the water too.
All the best,

First, let me say, it's an honor to correspond w/you! At one point I was traveling out to San Jose a lot, but I could never seem to extend it to a weekend and swing a visit to your facility.

No health problems (save blood pressure and the never ending battle with my waistline).

47, 6'2". best ever 2k was 6:47 2 years ago. I used DF 110 for 10m meters, just recently bumped it up to 125.

I'm heading out to Yankee Runners New England 2K Championship tomorrow, I'll be taking video's of everyone, and I'll get a shot of my erging as well

cheers!
