Seems like the time of year for a lot of new PB's (I'm looking at you, Max, and you, strupotter - awesome work, both of you!) - does that always happen near the end of the season?

Adding another of my own - this is two new PBs for me in the last 10 days or so, and I'm planning for a third soon in the 10K.

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
22:49.3 6,000m 1:54.1 236 1110 26 169
4:32.8 1,200m 1:53.6 238 1120 26 163
4:33.1 2,400m 1:53.7 238 1117 25 169
4:35.6 3,600m 1:54.8 231 1095 25 171
4:35.3 4,800m 1:54.7 232 1098 26 175
4:32.4 6,000m 1:53.5 239 1123 27 171

This is 39.1 seconds faster than my last 6K time trial, which I did last June. That was about two months after I started rowing indoors as my main form of exercise. I was aiming for sub-23:00, so hit my goal. Man, the 6K is kind of a weird distance - too long to really go for it, but too short to not really go for it. I think I hit the pacing pretty close to just right for me, though.
Very generous of you Jon. I've just been clocking up pbs for events I've not done before on the skierg.

Yours is a proper pb, hugely faster than your last go at the ugly stepchild that is the 6k. Looks perfectly paced with a slight slow down through the killing fields before speeding up again towards the finish.

Nice job.

Very good Alex. Huge milestone to tick off. 8k is a great performance for anyone, but outstanding for a lightweight.

Thanks all for the kind words......really pleased to get this one out the way. Next on the list is 6k (hopefully sub 22') and 10k (sub 38' maybe) for CTC and IRL respectively.

Superb row Alex!!
You will smash the 38 min 10k barrier, in fact you should get very close to 37 flat.
I managed a 37:07 PB off a 30R20 best of 7754m, and you are way quicker than that.
