w3d6. 8k row.. this is my first time through and glad that I made it through. Definitely going to keep it up and will be easier next time since I will have some actual times to go by and benchmark myself against. for the recovery with rows though I will be doing 10k instead of the 8k I have been doing.

Definitely feel as though I am in much better shape (HR is much better) with this program even only one time through. only 100k more meters until I hit my first 1million with 715k this season.

endurerow seat felt better today but still giving it another 2 weeks trial before I form my final opinion

GC - Hr drop off was my Hr monitor being too loose

Farting around with some different things:

Eddie warm up.

8' @ 1:54 r26
6' @ 1:54 r26 (I was still figuring out what I was going to do. I wish this one was around 1:52 on r28).
4' @ 1:50 r30
2' @ 1:45 r32

15' cool down @ 2K + 30

Fun workout. Sort of a mini waterfall. Next time I will hit the 6' harder. I let my HR come down to 105 ish as rest.

Have had a headache since Friday, so I didn't row yesterday. Instead had a wellness day at the thermal baths, sauna etc.
This morning decided to attempt a 2k To.
Started of with EF-in, didn't feel as strong as I usually do,
At the Tt, kept at targetpace of 1:45 for the first 1200 m without much discomfort. 1300 felt uncomfortable and had to take a few breather strokes, at 1500 had to stop for a few seconds before continuing. Last 500 were a fight. Managed a 7:04, but very disappointed. Maybe shouldn't have trained on an empty stomach or maybe I'm still fighting something in the system.
Finished off with a 5k @R20 ~2:04 pace.

Honestly feel like crap now. Gonna have am afternoon on the sofa.
Will attempt same again tomorrow...

Its proberly not a good idea to do a time trail when you are feeling sub par. 7.04 is not you. If you feel still crap tomorrow, I would advice against a next try. You should be easily deep below 7 min when feeling good.

sounds like good advice henry, just bad timing. i have the next 3 weeks off work, the next 4 here at home, then a few days at the in-laws (and everyone knows what that means - lots of food and drink and no ergo-ing)
I had a FM planned for tomorrow (my first) - i think i might have to rethink, and listen to my body...

Most definitely. Trying to do an FM at this point would definitely set you back.

Seconded. Take it easy Dean, get better and a sub-7-row will be fairly easy for you! Your effort and posted times and paces do not lie.

Glad you're feeling better Dean. Fantastic work on the sub 7! Knew that other time didn't reflect your training or your recent times at all.

My lower back feels worlds better today than Thursday / Friday. I skipped Friday's workout and I have a follow up to the chiropractor today so I'm missing my workout today too. I'm probably going to resume rowing tomorrow. Hated missing two workouts but you do have to listen to your body even if it's not cooperating. I do have to figure out if the back was something amiss in my form or if it was my once every few months needing an adjustment.

I am in a bit of panic mode not wanting to take a full week off but I think just missing two workouts I won't suffer too much of a set back.

What is your max HR?
Great result.
It looks like you can shave another 10s of that.
