As a side note, HUGE shoutout to Concept2...I hit the million lifetime last Tuesday and requested my shirt and pin that night, and it had arrived by Monday.

Weight: 286.4 (Down 4.2 lbs.)
Weekly Meters Rowed: 22,477m
Total Meters Rowed: 572,245m
Surplus: 27,855m.
Nice!! I wear the 1 million meters shirt with pride. I should be getting the 5 million meter shirt later this year. Looking forward to it.
You best believe I wore that to (telecommuting) work on Monday.

Lower volume this week with Easter on Sunday and adjusting to our new normal. While my hospital job lets me work from home, my wife was a nurse manager in a clinic. Starting this week, she's working night shift in the hospital Monday-Wednesday, so my normal routine of row right after work then eat dinner doesn't work anymore, as dinner timelines have moved forward so we can still eat as a family before she goes in. Then the rest of the evening is keeping the 3-year old happy until he goes to bed, and I wait until I know he's actually asleep before I can go downstairs. It's going to be more late night workouts, at least early in the week. Weight also went up a little bit but that's probably more due to the Easter dinner and sweets (specifically the chocolate peanut butter pie).

Now that Mud Madness is over, I want to get back to doing longer rows, as I'd like to take a shot at the HM for the Solstice Challenge in June, knowing it's a Saturday and it's looking like we won't have anything else going on that, or any other, weekend.

Weight: 287.5 (Up 1.1 lbs.)
Weekly Meters Rowed: 22,037m
Total Meters Rowed: 594,282m
Surplus: 25,147m.
Started rowing 4/22/19.
PBs: 1min - 314m, 500m - 1:40.0, 1,000m - 3:45.3, 4min - 1,082m, 2,000m - 7:41.0, 5.000m - 21:18.2, 6,000m - 25:41.6, 30min - 7,010m, 10k - 44:40.5, 60min - 13,112m

Backtracking on the weight loss, probably due to my wife trying so many new recipes on her weekends and them being delicious. Definitely hurting myself there. Lost a couple of days of training due to waking up Saturday with a sore hip/groin area, just stretched it throughout the day and put heat on it in the evening and it felt great Sunday morning. Then, while cleaning the basement storage area, had a bowling ball fall on my right big toe, which did not feel great. Still managed to go over my 3,535m daily average for the week, and set a 30 minute PB last night, as mentioned in the PB thread.

Weight: 290.0 (Up 1.5 lbs.)
Weekly Meters Rowed: 27,010
Total Meters Rowed: 621,292m
Surplus: 27,412m.
Started rowing 4/22/19.
PBs: 1min - 314m, 500m - 1:40.0, 1,000m - 3:45.3, 4min - 1,082m, 2,000m - 7:41.0, 5.000m - 21:18.2, 6,000m - 25:41.6, 30min - 7,010m, 10k - 44:40.5, 60min - 13,112m

Chose to not row much this week and make it all about my kiddo who turned 4 yesterday. Had as good of a "party" as we could all weekend, then yesterday arranged for a fire truck to drive by after day care. I think week 4 of working from home and not leaving the house is starting to get to me, as well.

Weight: 289.8 (Down 0.2 lbs)
Weekly Meters Rowed: 22,961m
Total Meters Rowed: 644,253m
Surplus: 25,628m.

What is this "surplus" you designate in your stats?

I don't have a "surplus" of meters sitting in some rowing bank. I plan my week of 5 rows and know each distance and pace I will be rowing. This helps keep me accountable.

Surplus towards my initial goal at the start of the thread of averaging 3,535 per day for the entire year that I'm 35 years old. Comes out to just under 1.3m for the year, starting in November when I started the project.
