Well, technically a PB - simply because it was the first time i have ever done a 100km session on the bikeerg :?

Any long piece like this is super impressive to me.

Thanks! However, now that i had lunch, i feel that this excercise was more a mental than a physical excercise. Well, it was physical, but mostly for my butt and my knees :D

Lol, well we need to train them too. A good mental test can be just as good as a physical one as well.

Sub 7....did it!!! :D Was supposed to be doing an interval session but decided to take a crack at a 2km TT as it was becoming something I was avoiding.

500 1:41.1@30
1000 1:45.8@28
1500 1:46.9@29
2000 1:44.6@39

Avg HR 175

Wrote myself a plan and followed most of it...start steady, hold 1:46/1:47, push last 400 and stay positive. Nearly blew it after going off fast, the inner voices wanted to quit when the estimated time tipped past 7:00 but I got through that and made it :) . I have no doubt this had nothing to do with technique as I was all over the shop....gasping like a fish out of water  .... dragged myself to this milestone.

Appreciate the help you folks have given me to get this done!!!
Woo Hoo!!
Congratulations!
That is definitely a nice goal to beat.

Last day on TTs

30 mins.

8532 m @ pace of 1:45.5

6 min splits (pace)

1:45.4
1:45.0
1:45.2
1:46.4
1:45.2

Was aiming for 8600, but as you can tell, was too hard through the middle and I had to slow way down. Was able to recover enough for a 300m sprint at the end.

Can't complain. :)

Wow, impressive! Great mental toughness to grind thru the 18-24 minute interval and still finish strong in last 6 minutes (with a sprint at end)

1min PB - 384m - +3m

Today I had my last fast session before 2k TT on Friday, so I decided to do a fast 1min session at 95% and the plan to start quicker and then slow down at the end. It felt pretty good, the last 15sec were hard, but this way it's a good bit easier than trying to hold the pace for the whole 1min (thanks for this advice Henry :D ).

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
1:00.0 384m 1:18.1 734 2826 46

Don't know if it was 95% or 97% but I'm pretty sure a few more meters are possible, hopefully close to 390m. Good confidence boost for Friday

Yeah, the R46 are far away from my comfort zone, but for 1min it works pretty good. Next time I'll hit the 1:17

How is your back? So aggravating short before BRIC, hopefully you're 100% fit there, all the best for that!
