Decided to skip 4 x 6 minutes/4 rest and tested my 5k TT. New PB of 18:10.9. Pretty pleased and felt strong.

Time Meters Pace. Watts Cal. S/M
18:10.9 5,000m 1:49.0 270 1227 29
3:41.1 1,000m 1:50.5 259 1191 29
3:39.7 2,000m 1:49.8 264 1208 29

3:35.0 5,000m 1:47.5 282 1269 30
Two solid PBs in short time - way to go!!!! This looks paced pretty good as well with a nice negative split.

Great work Phil, you're on a roll atm! I guess the intervals help you the most.
Now we're even at 5k, and I won't be surprised if you get close to my current 2k PB next time! :D

Thanks Martin. Am beginning to think that sub 6.50 is possible but your 6.46 might be a little out of reach at the moment.

Post comp. Doing some TTs, as i may never be in shape like this again. Lol.

5k.

17:12 @ 1:43.2

20 seconds better than last pb (July)

Could have probably gone a little faster in the first 1000, wasn't exactly sure on target pace until I got into it.

Very nicely done Jim. Keep knocking them out ASAP as you may have a bit of mental slump sometime soon, hopefully you won't but it is quite common

Thanks. Gonna try 30 minutes this week, and that's probably me done.

Have a whole new plan around building strength for rugby next season, so wont be doing as much rowing. Need to plan a routine that keeps as much of my fitness as possible though.

Thanks Phil, but it's really not going to plan at the moment. Lower back is still feeling aggravated so I'm just doing what I can which isn't what I really need but it will have to do.
