Nice work Martin, think you have room rating wise, 37 is low ish.MartinSH4321 wrote: ↑September 27th, 2019, 5:29 am500m PB - 1:21,4![]()
Impulsive decision to try 500m (before Keith decides to give them another try with rested legs).

The plan was to start very fast, then slowing down to 1:21,5 and hold as long as I can. Worked very good, but I think I can still go a bit faster, the drag was at 170 and at the end I wished my 205 back as my speed got weaker and weaker. Next time I'll try 180 and see how that works.
Thanks Keith for going sub 1:22 last week, this was a great motivation! I'm very curious who will get sub 1:21 first.

Yeah, the rating is pretty low, but exactly the same as my last 500m TT. Next time I'll try to rate higher, and hopefully see 1:20,x

I'd been waiting too long for another Martin PB! Nice work indeed. Short stuff like this not my game as not strong enough but I did manage to have a little go at testing LP and saw 1:24 flashing on PM for first time ever so I can dream.MartinSH4321 wrote: ↑September 27th, 2019, 5:29 am500m PB - 1:21,4![]()

I am keeping things ticking over and haven't given up on competing with you at the 5k+ distances just yet but you're making it VERY difficult.

Improvements at LP will help you for 1k and 2k too, so well done. My improvments this season are really unbelievable, but at the longer distances we're still very close, esp. at 30min and 10k our PBs are almost even, maybe you'll get me there

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Slept poorly last night and came up with the idea of trying to improve my half marathon personal best.
My aim was to stay below 2:00/500m. Last PB was 1:26:12.8 (2:02.5/500m).
Luckily, it worked out nicely, but it was some serious work and a lot of sweat

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
30min PB - 8059m (+36m)
This was the hardest TT I ever had. I was so confident to reach 8.100m and the first 15min felt pretty good, but at about 12min to go it got worse and worse. Till 6min to go I considered quitting every few seconds, the legs hurted and I had to slow a bit down to convince me not to quit. The last minutes were better, but I had no energy left, normally I always have a fast finish, this time I was happy to finish at all.
Now it's a strange feeling, I hope my sprint PB yesterday is the reason for this super-hard attempt and next time I can go for 8.100m, but it's also stupid to be disappointed when getting a PB.
I'm really happy that I struggled through this 30min, in the long run this will help at other TT when it's on the edge.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Still, nicely done, Martin! Glad you decided to pull through and not quit. Take some rest and then try again when you feel betterMartinSH4321 wrote: ↑September 28th, 2019, 3:24 pm30min PB - 8059m (+36m)
