Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
On some days, everything just works out. New PB for 10.000m.
About a year ago, i managed to row 10k in less than 40 minutes for the first time.
PB of June 2019 was 37:50.4.
Managed 36:58.1 today. After finishing, it took me a few minutes to remember my name and where i was.

Excellent going Bob. Breaking sub 37 is a big milestone and to shave off 52 seconds in a few months is a really massive achievement.bobtherower wrote: ↑September 8th, 2019, 3:28 amOn some days, everything just works out. New PB for 10.000m.

You need to re-test your other lower distances now too, especially 5k, 6k and 30 mins

So, a massive 10k PB is your idea of 'relaxing'?!?!?! Or is 24 hours your idea of a 'bit'?!?!bobtherower wrote: ↑September 7th, 2019, 11:41 am
Indeed, but I felt really exhausted after yesterdays and todays session. Need to relax for a bit and then start working on my 2k though i am not a fan of short distances

Wow, such a PB after 2 hard and long sessions, super strong! You can reach for 16k 60min I think, well done!bobtherower wrote: ↑September 8th, 2019, 3:28 amOn some days, everything just works out. New PB for 10.000m.

This might sound super weird, but i actually didnt plan on breaking my 10k PB this morning. Wanted to row some "easy" 10k, but after about 2km i realized: "Hm.. your pace is really good. See if you can beat your PB." (thats why the first 2km were quite slow in comparison to the other 8km).
Will do some work on the shorter distances

Three minutes off in 12 months is astonishing.
Have you massively changed your training in that period or were you a newbie a year ago?

Well, completely changed my life from being a coach potato to doing all kinds of sports. Used the erg to lose body fat and gain muscles (not too many though ). Changed what i eat. Doing long walks every day when getting to the office. Have also increased the training volume a lot - avg. of 10kms/day during this season.
