At first I thought 3:30 is an awfully long time to rest between intervals, but once you finish the 3rd interval or so, boy does that timer start ticking down fast when it's getting close to the time to strap back in.

First 4 intervals were solid; was pretty burned out after the 4th. Totally lost motivation halfway through the 7th interval. Came back for a solid finish on the last one.

Well, the original plan to do 6 pete sessions in 3 days might've been a bit ambitious. I didn't know how brutal the interval sessions would be.

After being unable to do the 5x1500 session this morning, I felt like I recovered enough to do it for my afternoon session

I've never done any real interval training before, so I'm sure it'll get better over time.

Doing the weekly Pete plan sessions in 3 days seems impossible for me. Stiff day for Glenn as well.
Did a slow 60min session with capped HR 130 first half, and capped 145 on the second. Felt crappy due to lack of sleep.

Many thanks to you all, it is so inspiring to hear your experiences, is also impressed with your workouts and efforts.
After a few weeks when it has been tough it feels easier, I've taken a few days of rest and it has made useful.
Would also like to remind that distinguish between workouts, tough workouts should be tough and light should be easy. keep going! Magnus

F2D - that looks like a good session. At some point it is what it is, right? Easier said than done, but making slow steady progress is what it's all about it seems to me. Next time around you will know pacing and the workout will go faster. You will be more fit by then too. And whoever said you can get six days into three may have been a little mean! I'm not an expert, but If you only have three days, why not do the speed intervals, the endurance intervals and one long row (that gets longer each time but not necessarily faster). Maybe on your weight training days you can slip some meters in around your weight session too as a warm up and cool down.

It was my idea, because previously I was doing 4 6 - 10km rows in 2 days, I figured substituting an interval session each day and adding an extra day wouldn't be that hard, lol. Right now I think I can handle 4 sessions in 3 days, so I'll go with that and add more when possible.

Did a slow 2:14.6 10K for my last piece of the week.

Total distance this week is about 36K, but definitely a lot more quality meters than I'm used to.

Btw g-dub, how much running/additional rowing pieces/other workouts (weights?) do you do each week? Do you do all 6 pete workouts?
