Stu, just row your 6k at your 10k pace. You will have a new 6k PB with plenty of time to spare!

Hahaha, i haven't noticed that. Maybe I'll give it another go sometime soon. My 6k PB was done as part of a recent fast 10k so I probably need to do a proper 6k TT. It's a distance that I never think of doing.

Just shaved over 4 mins off my previous personal best in the marathon. Pulled a tidy 2:07.4 in the first half... put the handle down for 90 seconds to stretch my legs and have a juice box.... then centered around 2:11 for most of the second half. Ramped up the pace over the final 2K and held 1:32 in the last 100m dash. I have been doing a lot of hard piece training at all distances recently. This has really helped my times. I finally feel ready to try the 10K @ 1:57.5 after this effort.

Excellent effort Lance. You are more than capable of the 10k that you're aiming for. Trust your progress.

Awesome work Lance. I'm not doing a marathon any time soon! Just to complete one, I think, is impressive.

Thanks for the kind words everyone... 24 hours later... feeling good. That 10K @ 1:57.5 will be mine soon! After that, I'm going to attempt the 15K/60min. Also hoping for marginal improvements to my 100m, 1min, 500m & 4min PB's before the end of the season.

Once all that is done, I'll be doing weights until the start of next season.

Took 3 days off then went back to the gym tonight and smashed my 10K... Took 44.1 seconds off... it was a very difficult piece. My body does not like these max effort / mid distances at all. Heavy/double breathing throughout... glad its over... Next up... the 60min :o

Feeling good on the skierg at the moment. The only thing I'm a little bit unsure of is the drag factor. Still testing with different settings.

Thanks :) You should really go ahead and include the skierg in your training. It's a very good workout. I can even vaguely start to see the top of the six-pack now, the two-pack

@ Lance - awesome work on that 10K. You're killing it now! I hate those types of workouts but I'm getting used to it this year (doing a LOT of hard, longer workouts to make them seem easier). That is a tough one! Nice work!

1st 2k time trial today!
Hit 6:57.3, with pretty even splits. 1:43 for the first and last 500s and 1:45 for the middle 2.
Pretty happy with this. I didn't even have a good kick left so I definitely went 100% all out on this one.

That is a time to be proud of even if it wasn't your first 2k TT attempt, which makes it even more special
