the 133 is the current speed. (end speed in this case, but current speed when rowing)fatboyslim wrote:The other day I rowed on a D model at a local club. (I have a C model at home.) I programmed it for 500 meters and at the end of the row it stated a time of 1:33 but in the split time area it stated 1:33.6 . I used the slower time for the PB, just curious why the two different times?
the 133.6 ws the av speed.
pure by coincodence they were close.
New PB 2k: 6:53.0. Was doing it with a buddy of mine and we got the same exact thing. It wasn't a very good piece, although I did stay pretty consistent. I set it for 250m splits, and the longest and the shortest differed by only 2 secs. I have another 2k Sunday, so I'm shooting for under 52. At Crash-B's. I was planning on sub 6:40, so it looks like that will take some work.
PB's:
500: 1:39
2k: 6:43.3
6k: 21:44.1
500: 1:39
2k: 6:43.3
6k: 21:44.1
Yea, I know . Last Friday I attempted to do a 2k and held basically the same split at a 26 stroke rate (but I cramped up the last 600m), where as this one was at a 28, so I don't think I was well prepared for this one. I have another on this Sunday and hope to go at least under 52, maybe under 50 if I can sprint it out enough.
PB's:
500: 1:39
2k: 6:43.3
6k: 21:44.1
500: 1:39
2k: 6:43.3
6k: 21:44.1
Just got back from the Ergomanian in my next of the woods.
7:46.2 for my 2K today!
Held my target pacing 1:55/56 for most of the race at a 24/25 spm! Only disappointing aspect was between 750 and 400 meters to go started to drop off pace and could quite pick up the final sprint to a sub target pace.
But none the less, very please.

keep up the good work.
Nice work Ben! This old fart got a new PB today too.
Started erging on my Model E on Oct 16th. 850k meters later I had a 2k test 6 weeks into my IP plan today. Went from 7:20ish back in November to 7:04.2 today. Thought about trying to go under 7 but looking at the prediction formulas decided to be a bit conservative so as not to trip a breaker. Felt like a man on fire down the stretch but managed to knock 6 seconds off the pace in the last 300 meters. 28r, 150 DF. Gurf Morlix blasting on the sound system.
Not much of a poster but really enjoy the forums on both sides of the pond and I've learned a lot from you folks. Think I'll do my favorite row - 30 minutes @24 before I quit for the day.
