@Marius - fantastic 30mins, with clearly more to come.

Puts my own new PB into perspective - just smashed my previous 1 hour best - 15682, an improvement of 265m over my previous best.

12min splits of 1:55.5, 1:55.6, 1:54.7, 1:55.0, 1:52.9, all at 26spm.

Very pleased, as that's all my nonathlon PBs beaten in the last few months. Now have to start again - 5K next!

8500+ for 30' certainly puts you in a class of your own, Marius.

Marius, you just started rowing in January? Already you list a 6:23 2k, and 8500m for 30min is pretty impressive. What is your athletic background?

Yes, started in January. Background is powerlifting, but had to retire some time ago due to several injuries. Have been looking for a new sport and it seems like rowing suits me very well.

I love a bit of understatement Marius - this is definitely your go.

new 2k pb at 7:12.9
Just got back to rowing after sporadic barely existing training past 2 years. Old pb was 7:24.9 and it was from Jan 2016 after 1 month from getting my c2 rower.
goal is to get below 7k for January national erg championships.

Well done! You'll get sub 7 on your next attempt if you keep your training up.

New 5K PB - 18:12.5 which is a 7sec improvement. Was going for sub-18 but almost quit with 2k to go. Managed to not HD, slowed the pace a bit, and held on. With better pacing I can go faster, so next time will start a bit less ambitious and aim to pick up rather than slow up.
