New PB for 10K earlier today.
This was due for an update as my SB was set a little while ago. I took 12.9s off, and (according to my old training diary from 2004-2005 when I was last into erging) it's 1.3s off my all-time PB.
Logged and verified.

Paul, 49M, 5'11" 83kg (sprint PBs HWT), ex biker now lifting
Deadlift=190kg, LP=1:15, 100m=15.7s, 1min=350m

Targets: 14s (100m), 355m+ 1min, 1:27(500m), 3:11(1K)
Erg on!

2 new PB's in the space of just a couple days? Don't you think you would have been better to give it some cooling off period time before going after this new 10k PB? You may very well have smashed your all time best 10k time that way
Just a thought, and certainly not having a pop.... as thats some going in such short space of time!! Well done.

Maybe Anth, maybe. Experience has told me though if you feel good, just go for it. I had the day off yesterday (apart from walking the dog for 2hrs) so had recovered anyway. Truth is I tend to be a bit tentative when it's all going well on a session - I'd rather come away with a smaller PB than overcook it and risk blowing up...although that is somewhat self-limiting I know.

Fair play mate. The body doesn't lie when it comes to letting you know these things... so if you felt good to go for it then no harm, no foul.

Gammmmo wrote:OK, just cranked out a proper, legit all-time PB. 15772m in 60mins (logged and verified). This is also 104m further than my SB set a week ago. For some reason I felt fantastic, I held at 1:54.6 for ages and then in the last 5-10 mins I thought I better start trying, so I'm really pleased as it represents real progress but I know 15800m was easily in there. Still, when I break this again it'll be irrelevant.

Woo Hoo!
Congratulations on a great PB! (I guess all PBs are great for each person, but I see that as a really good distance for 60 min.)

Thanks all - lots of camerarderie on here.

After my progress appeared to stall for a short while, I do seem to have got to a new level recently...somehow! Those targets are coming into view!
P.S. Nico - now you've done a 17, I think you can update your 10K time and leapfrog me fairly easily.

Awesome work mate.
I've done quite a lot of 15k rows lately, but they take me ~1:02:00, AND I take breaks every 20 minutes! ...and I find that exhausting!
