Ranger's training thread

Post by Byron Drachman » August 22nd, 2010, 9:27 am

At his UK BLOG Ranger deletes messages he doesn't like, and he has the habit, particularly dishonest and obnoxious, of editing other people's posts along with the usual attributing quotes to the wrong authors. If you follow him there, you will be playing in his playground.

I think of it as a virtual cave. The potential audience may be bigger, but there is a virtual screen, controlled by the blog owner.

Oh B.S.

You're the biggest asshole I've ever encountered, Byron.

Ever.

What's youir problem, dude?

Get a life.

We are all sorry that you are no good at rowing, but sheesh, being lousy at something is no reason to make things worse by bitching and moaning about it.

Really?

Then what are you doing, Mike?

You're the biggest rowing snob I've every encountered.

And you are succeeding in spades.

The Christian malarky about pride is just b.s.

No one has ever accomplished much of anything without being proud of their achievement.

You are no exception.

Wake up, dude.

Cut out the b.s.

The only people who run down pride are those who have nothing to be proud of.

Ridiculous stuff.

The weak sisters need to get the crap out of their pants and do something.

Then pride is no problem.

Everyone who has done something significant is proud of their accomplishment.

You have to earn the right to be proud of what you are doing.

If you aren't earning it, then so it goes.

You have nothing to be proud of.

But that is your problem, not the problem of those who do.

Over here it is just one thread, in the blog section he will put in numerous blogs a day and ruin the blogs of others that way. I hope he will be put to rest soon there. 1 blog per day ok, but not numerous.

Bah.

More Christian B.S., inappropriately applied.

Sure, it is good to be nice to others.

But the arts, and all sports are arts, are primarily about innovation, talent, hard work, personal expression, mastery, and high achievement.

Poetry isn't about praising those who are trying to write it but have no talent for or understanding of the art.

So art is about social promotion?

"Leave no rower behind?"

Absurd stuff.

It's a tough world out there.

If you are going to try to find something you are good at, you need to see clearly, judge well, and work hard.

Achievement isn't based on flattery.

If you think so, you're an idiot.

If this is how you coach, you're a liar.

Oh, b.s.

Two or three blogs a day is just fine.

It doesn't hurt anything or anyone--at all.

It is my blog!

The beauty of Byron`s little missives are that they point out the repeated lies and general shite that you contradict yourself with on a daily basis. He provides a valuable service. Dont forget to book your passage for BIRC.I_can`t_wait_to _see_you_there!

Bah.

Just more b.s.

No one has to read my blog.

They have to click on it to read it.

And everyone has the right to blog as much as they want.

If some blogs aren't read as much, perhaps that's just because they aren't as interesting.

It is not a fault to have a popular blog (of course, unless _your_ blog isn't popular).

Envy is not a virtue.

It's a sin.

Booked my flights and hotel today.

As usual, I will stay at the Crown Plaza.

I'll arrive Friday afternoon.

I am written into the history of BIRC.

I won the Millenium Cup in 2003, with a WR lwt 50s row (6:28).

The 55s lwt BIRC championship record is mine.

This year, my goal is to pull a lwt 6:20.

That should stir the pot--again.

What is the problem hjs? How does one person's posting, even if it is multiple, affect the posts of others? I am not a blog reader myself; I see no point to it. To read any blog on that forum requires logging on and I rarely bother with that, I just lurk once in a while to see what kind of deviltry the Brits are up to nowadays.

So I am not familiar with the mechanics of using the blog feature. Is there some problem with multiple posts? It was my impression that a viewer has the option of logging on only to those blogs that are of interest to the viewer. Any others can simply be ignored without the viewer even being aware of them.
