Yep, honest mistakes are made quite easily if you're just adding numbers manually.

It almost needs a prompt at the end "are you sure this is correct?" with the inputted metres shown.
51 HWT; 6' 4"; 1k= 3:09; 2k= 6:36; 5k= 17:19; 6k= 20:47; 10k= 35:46 30mins= 8,488m 60mins= 16,618m HM= 1:16.47; FM= 2:40:41; 50k= 3:16:09; 100k= 7:52:44; 12hrs = 153km

Those sorts of prompt don't work. You can ask someone as many times as you like "Are you a blithering idiot?" to try to make a fool proof system. The problem is the fools are getting more talented. The idiot proof systems just lead to better idiots.

Everyone has been programmed to click through without paying attention. I bet you do that all the time with software licence agreements - I know I do.

There was one of our Systems Programming team who was testing automation. When a production system (rather than his test system) went quiet we knew it worked. The "Are you sure you're closing the right system?" prompt in the code he'd written didn't protect him.

My machine had only 57000 meters on it when i bought it in june 2016. It's now currently on 2374249 lifetime meters, so i've rowed well over 2 million meters on it!!!! And will continue to add more to that :D

There used to be a limit for metres added in one day. When I rowed 250km+ in a day, I had to split it into two manually entered distances on consecutive days in order to be credited on the C2log.

We've had threads about random entries of 20,000km at a time and subsequent removal from the log. You solve one problem, you create another.

Joe

I’ve logged about 6.3 million meters since I started July 2014. I was tracking just over 2 million per year my first two years but started more short interval and sprint training the past year...got stronger and faster but started adding some longer pieces back into the mix lately. Currently doing about 30K per week now and maintaining fairly consistent strength work as well.
