See, i'm fortunate to have enough spare room area space, where the rower doesn't get in the way at all. You can stand them positioned end up as well btw! If you have enough height clearance with your ceilings that is.Steve1960VA wrote:When I was deciding which rower to buy (an easy decision now but wasn't at the time with me having essentially no rowing experience of any kind), the ease of splitting C2 rowers was something I didn't understand (had never done it or seen it done). Now, I split mine each morning, though I don't really put the halves in storage - just on different sides of the room to make it easier to get around in the room. Takes a minute or less, I'd guess. I certainly understand the appeal of being able to leave it set-up all the time. I could do that but it works best for my family to divide it each morning. So glad I didn't buy "Brand X" which can't be split (just one of many C2 benefits I can now see clearly). Nothing like experience...Anth_F wrote:... I think having a permanent erg setup like i do really is a help! If i had to keep splitting the rower up and putting it away in storage each time, i'm pretty sure i would not be doing half as much rowing as what i currently do. The fact it's sitting there in one of my living room areas gives extra motivation, and is just one reason it makes the erg so addictive for me. That urge to jump on it for a session any time is very relentless...:
How many of you erg late at night?

Yes, you are fortunate. I could do it (leave rower set-up all the time), but would probably have to go to a different room. My rowing room has a big treadmill, an elliptical and a weight machine in it, plus a computer & table & assorted other paraphernaliaAnth_F wrote: See, i'm fortunate to have enough spare room area space, where the rower doesn't get in the way at all. Regarding "end up" storage, I presume you, and others, are speaking of storing the assembled rower "end up". If true, then no, that's not an option for me with "only" 8-foot ceilings in my home, and I don't think I'd want to do that anyway (compared to simply splitting and setting aside the smaller pieces). When I split my rower though, each morning, I do store the rail portion "end up". That helps minimize the storage footprint.
I'm with you too on enjoying the rower, or enjoying as much as I can anything that brings that much work. The other equipment in the room sits largely unused. It's the rower that's seeing near-daily use.

Indeed!!! It never gets boring imo... and it doesn't feel like a chore getting a nice sweaty workout on the rower, it's actually enjoyable. I love the whole movement of the stroke too! And find the monitor full of interesting info feedback while on the move. I'm almost certain, had i gotten some other form of exercise equipment than a rower, it's highly likely i would have got bored of it long ago and it would be stuck in a closet gathering dust.Steve1960VA wrote:

I'd second everything Anth said, and say that on top of being fun, rowing combines the potential for strength, cardio, and HIIT exercise like nothing else.remisture wrote:You work for Concept2, Anth?Anth_F wrote:Indeed!!!
