Well, if being the best for your age and weight, without even preparing for it, is embarrassing, I think this forum has lost its way.
Just to be clear, your actions which embarrass you are things like:
- continually saying you're going to post a screen shot of <insert record breaking performance here> in "the next week", and never actually posting said screen shot
- continually saying things like "I'm loosing 2 lbs a week", when if that were true, you'd be 20 lbs lighter than you actually are
- continually saying things like you're at a body fat % 2-3 points lower than what you actually are at (and cropping the pictures to hide that fact).
- continually overstating your traning volume (dont try and argue that you arent, I'll just ask you to post a screenshot of your PM showing total meters, and we can compare that to the screenshot you posted on the UK site last year to get your daily meters)..

This is a partial list of your behaviours that serve to embarrass you. Your 6:41 last year, and your WR's before that are quite an achievement.
Up yours, asshole.

Get a life.

You're the biggest fuck-up I've ever encountered.

Best of rowing to you. Hope you get the free air tick' to Boston with a 6:4x.x on Sunday.

As I have said multiple times now, I would consider it an honor and a privilege to be in the bow following your stroke OTW at the nationals this summer.

Lets get it on.

I'm ready to rumble.

So, Bozo, Clown, Asshhole.

Are you doing qualification rows for WIRC 2010 this weekend, as I am?

If so, where?

I will be interested in your results.

If you are successful, which seems incredible to consider, see you in Boston.

I would certainly like to chat--face to face.

I would like to see what an asshole looks like.

I know what mine looks like in the mirror.

But meeting one face to face would be interesting.

This is priceless. Is it possible ranger isn't really the Rich Cureton that rowed all the fast times, but rather 100% troll? Or could Rich Cureton have a split personality that acts like an out of control heavy drinker?

Is it possible for an English professor not to know when to use the word 'your' versus 'you're'?

Something doesn't add up here.

That's really choice coming from you.

My results are definately not spectacular, I row because I like to stay fit and I've met a lot of great people. I am going to WIRC, hopefully, you calmed down by that point..

Chgoss--

Where are you doing your qualification rows for Boston this weekend, and what is your 2K target?

Just name the place and target.

Thanks.

Be honest.

Be exact.

Be factual.

Your qualification time is 6:07.7.

What is your target for 2K?

My qualification time is 6:53.

My 2K target this year is 6:16.

Why - every body sharpens about the same, with about the same effect - 2 seconds per week for 6 weeks. So once you've done that amount why do more?

But that would be completely contrary to the behaviour of this thread's OP.

We shouldn't hijack this thread with Chad's target. This thread is devoted to the glory of you!

I think I am a little late with my training still.

I suspect that I will reach a peak next year, not this year.

It also just takes time to establish a full array of new pbs for all distances.

I probably won't have the opportunity to do this during the winter racing season.

So if I just keep sharpening through next year, I can accomplish these things.

There is nothing unusual in this at all.

Most people _only_ sharpen.

They race their training.

I have certainly not done this over the last decade, but doing it for a year would do no damage.

There is really nothing more that I can do now to get better.

Both my technique and my fitness are fully developed.

So all I can do is stay at this peak and explore all of the different ways to show what an achievement it is.
