Not very presentable our Frau Merkel ...
But better not to bring politics in a forum like ours - politics tend to mess everything up, and even the most humorous supranational group of enthusiastic ergateers might be endangered by such a topic (which could start with Frau Merkel, followed by Brexit and go on to the rally between Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton....
)
I have to do this...
You now you Germans are known for having zero sense of humor. This is a perfect example. Its only a joke, zero politics going on.

I figured it to be a humerous reply even if it obviously didn´t catch. There it is, another curse of trying to joke around in a foreign language on issues generally not to be known humerous
Oh well, on to the next PB, who is up?!

Think nobody really cared, one mans joke is another mans silence. Had certainly no intention to go on, on the subject.
Old man like me have no bussiness in this thread anyway

Wife and self have school friends from Exeter (didn't know old Jack got schooled in Blimey, didja?) now living in Portsmouth. My wife visited them just after the BP blowout in the Gulf (the one between FL and TX). I couldn't accompany her. While reminiscing about our school days before she left, I remembered the Pythons and Cleese and said "Don't mention the oil!" Wife thought that funny so she told our friends what I said. I don't imagine they died laughing but near to by my wife's account. Strange how all those troubling associations can produce humour.

Good ones. On the sprints, special technique is required. Strokes getting shorter, less legs / more arms and back. SPM above 50 on the 100m, DF also way above normal (I usually go @ around 180 for the 100m, around 150 for the 1min). Also you have to be careful not to strain/hurt anything during those efforts, so good warm up and posture are needed too.

Hm / fm difference is very ambitious. Should proberly be more like 5 seconds difference.
New pb FM: 2:40:56.6 (1:54.4/500m).
First attempt marathon went quite good.
Stroke-rate first 28 km 22/23/24. Last 14 slowly increasing until 28.
Had expected some very heavy last km's, but nothing of the kind. So had some extra energy at the end to even do some sprinting.
I made a isotone drink with some extra added salt, and halted every 2km to drink. This was not optimal. Could gain some extra seconds in drinking more fluidly.

I have read one should drink 1l per hour.
I drank 2,5 liter, but the stomach has to cope with that volume, that was the reason to try to drink every 2 km.
Maybe next time I try avery 3km and then drink a little more?

Congrats
Thanks!
It is time consuming for sure.
But I was very satisfied afterwards.
And since I joined the
http://www.nonathlon.com/ this year, I had to set a FM time.
One more challenge left: and that is the 30 minute trial.
First a few weeks of shorter interval work.

To be really high in the nonathlon you are to young
30 min is something different, but the fact you did not overly suffer during the Fm is a good sigh, should go well.
