Thanks Doc. Propitious timing as rain Saturday laid the pollen or I might have struggled for 12k.

Thanks guys. The flips, spatters and naps in the first 33' say protracted warmup. After that I kept my eye on the projected total and made the strokes count. I could sense the edge and knew I wasn't going over. Lot of endorphins from a diesel run that you don't get from a desperate thrash and the numbers look better.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
I realise that if I waited 24 hours I could have counted this effort in the Half Marathon Challenge, but for a couple of other reasons it worked better for me to have a crack today.
I took water on a couple of times - but did so as time efficiently as possible and was able to maintain the splits throughout without undue extra effort. Certainly the most difficult aspect was how much my bum was hurting at the end!

Very smooth sob-90, Rohan. Consistent input = consistent output.

Thanks folks.remisture wrote:Nice, Rohan! By the way, why 1055 m splits?
Remi split length was to have 20 splits. For some reason I had the (incorrect) impression that was the maximum possible. Will probably go for even 1km in the future!

Rohan edits to a neat composite of the monitor screens for a long session! I've noticed that RowPro, MS Paint and MS snip tool demand a max 20 splits to get a report for forum attachment. Fleas come with the dog.

Max number of splits is 30. So minimum distance split for a FM is 1407m and 704m for a HM.Bloodbuzz Corio wrote:Thanks folks.remisture wrote:Nice, Rohan! By the way, why 1055 m splits?

just pulled a 7:08 2k, which was a PB by 4 sec. easy gains are well behind me at this point...took me 3+ months to shave that 4 seconds. anyway, onwards and upwards!

Well done SSBob! I feel your pain. Took a year to get from 7:08 to 7:02.5. Expecting another one (I hope that's all it is) to get the last 3 seconds. You stomped your 500 though by the looks of your signature line! That's pretty good for your size I would think.
