Glad to hear that. It's always stressful when they get so ill you need to take emergency action.

I can assure you the lifetime metres sooner accumulate. I only noticed yesterday that I'd just gone over 20 million on my own erg, and more surprising was that I've done 92k in interval / rest metres!! No idea how, as I never used to row in between intervals until fairly recently.
Yep, especially when said sickness could've been avoided. She got to her daily heart meds, resulting in massive overdose. A chocolate egg would have been safer!

That's a bonkers statistic. I rowed 1km on my rest periods today, but that's 20 minutes of rest. The harder the interval, the less I row... My own erg is still brand new in comparison to yours, 2.3 million by me, couple of hundred km by its previous owner. It's only now I recognise what a steal I got, given the longevity of the machine.

I got mine just about this time in 2005, never recorded all the metres it's covered but must be getting on for 60 million. It's had a hard life though with probably 80% done outdoors in all weathers. I've replaced every single part over the years some parts twice

Wow, it's amazing what they'll eat. Are they palatable tablets? That definitely could have been a lot worse.

Our dog won't eat any tablets unless they are wrapped in ham!! She also eats tennis balls, by swallowing them whole, which properly blew my mind the first time she did it, not least as it takes a lot of effort as you can probably imagine.

The longevity of the erg is amazing. All I've done is occasionally (not enough in truth) clean the fan, oil the chain and replace the hangar bolt (it sheared on one side) and she's still going strong six and a bit years later. She probably could do with a service, but it's not essential.
