5k r 20 - 18:29.9 (1:51.9)-HR peak 167

Early am, fasted, Strapless and Rate 20 but since I've never really pushed a free rate 5k (and no intention of doing one anytime soon)- this will stand as my 5k PR for now- was not too bad so I'll keep pushing these for a while and see what shakes out- I think sub 1:50 very plausible in short term- again primary goal is to develop aerobic fitness enough to where the last 100m of a 500m sprint are decent enough so I don't experience a dramatic fade!

Deadlifts this afternoon

Terry I cleaned the monitor for ya (some people actually work out hard enough to sweat!!! :D )

Steady she goes, Shawn. Looks like you are well on your way to building up endurance. I look forward to see what you can do to a 2k one of these days.

Woot!

Finally broke that 15k barrier for my 60' workout. 15,140m down. That catches me up to the pace I was at for 30' rows before I started doing 60' rows every weekday. Its a good day.

Nice going jadomatis. Next is a sub 2:00 - HM. You won´t have much problems with that either. Great work.

Good work Jadomatis!

5k PB: 17:29.9 - 1:44.9
Not particularly well planned. Was on the second of 3 x 5k with a few others on RowPro. Did the first at 1:55, felt ok, and decided to see how a 1:46 would feel. The third was 1:55 again. No race, as everyone held own pace in each set.

So, for my PB I was on 1:46.2 at half way, felt fine so sped up a notch to about 1:45.3 with 750 left; final 250 split was 1:38.x

I think I'm on track for the proper goal of 17:20, 1:44, by month's end.

Damn Damien.....you're rippin' it! I'm following your work outs and you seem to be getting some really fast times when you go out (relatively) easy, probably I should say more like manageable. You've definitely influenced my approach to racing. Keep the hammer down.

Shawn, very nice 20r 5k there a coupla days ago.

Looks like the big dogs are coming out to play. Looking forward to Henry's 2k on Saturday, I'm sure he'll rip it.
