New PB: 2k 06:40 After week 3 of pete plan got interrupted i've trained when i can and decided that today was the day for a 2k.

Happy with the result since im only 8weeks into rowing, tho i could walk fine after and i should be able to get even further down, aiming for 6:30 by January :)

Nice, you a good build and nice age for improvement. 6.30 seems very doable soon, but after that the rapid improvement will stop, but you sure can get a lot faster still

Good work Tyche! I wondered what happened to you. There is no doubt you can get faster. And fitter too! Keep with it.

Not often I can post here, and 100% pure it isn,t but still.

Did a 10K TT trial today. Strapless, drag 125
Got a best since jan 2009. And that was strapped in 35.13.0

Today was 35.14.2. Strapped in sure would have beaten that and even sub 35 seems not impossible.

2k 145.1 26
4k 145.3 26
6k 146.6 26
8k 146.8 26
10k 144.6 27

I erged in the rain, and the last 2k was in very hard rain/hail and stormy wind

You animal! Well done Henry - I guess that is one more example of the benefits of doing longer work.

Cheers G d, yes it clearly is. Not that I overly do lots of meters, but pretty steady 50/60 km steady, low rate work, nothing fancy at all.
Would be nice to crack that 35min. Have a 143.3 30 min in my youngers years. best 10 k ever was 35.00.1 Which was very hard and I kept the sprint off off anf off and ...... saw I just did not got it

Wow. Very nice piece. You should strap in after a reasonable recovery and crush your jan '09 time. Congratulations. - Chris

Although we are in different leagues, I find trying to sprint after 9K to be a little challenging. The legs sort of are locked into a rhythm.

If I am strapped in I always have an extra gear. The last 1 min will be faster and the last 100 sub 1.30 rated high. Thats a relative strong point of mine.

Impressive Henry! And, yes, with straps on, you could probably have kicked the spm up over 30 to jack up that last split. Sounds like you are doing all the right things to slow down the inevitable age decline.
