Sure, but Roy rowed 6:34 at weight not so many years ago. From what I read he probably has a better base now than then.hjs wrote:roy will not row 6.40, don't put that pressure on him, 6.50 would be ok and a nice target.
No pressure. Roy's a player

If you want some help with your strokes on the erg, I would be glad to give you some.
Indeed he is.snowleopard wrote:Roy's a player
Posting evidence doesn't have anything to do with rowing, much less with improving your rowing.mikvan52 wrote:Rich:
You're more than a little behind in the "posting of any evidence" dept.
So you can't verify what you claim, either?mikvan52 wrote:Rich:

I'd be happy to post anything you request once you complete your FM and the 1:50 250 meter piece OTW.
I guess my camera's going to get a lil dusty...
Thank God.Brunsie wrote:I will be a lurker but will never post again
Speak for yourself.mikvan52 wrote: You love the erg.

What do you think?

I love both, equally.
And I now seem to be equally good at both.
That is a _huge_ asset.
You can't always row hard OTW.
In the winter, where I live, the water freezes.
Weather can also disrupt rowing OTW.
My ideal morning of rowing now would be 20K OTErg just before dawn, followed by 20K OTW, just after dawn.
I'll see if I can get to this over the next couple of weeks, before I leave Door County and go back to Ann Arbor.
My OTW and OTErg rowing are now perfectly aligned.
They differ by 15 seconds per 500m at the same rate.
I use the same technique for both.

In 2010, I pulled 6:41 OTErg.mikvan52 wrote:The same as what happened in 2010
