Rubbish, I pulled more than that in a 30 mins at 20spm once and a 78 min HM. You do talk Bollox.
In a 2K.

You pull 2Ks at 9.5 SPI.

At race rates, 2 SPI is worth 70 watts.

There's that seven seconds per 500m again!

Because elite rowers who know what they need to do to succeed do such things, while those who row on their lunch hours for fun don't?

Because it is a proven rode to success that I have used many times before?

Because experienced endurance athletes _never_ overtrain.

Overtraining is a cinch to notice.

You feel tired.

When you feel tired, you just rest.

I never row when I feel tired.

If you are used to it, low intensity work never leads to overtraining, anyway.

You can never get enough of low intensity training.

Overtraining comes from doing too much high intensity work like most people in and around these C2 fora.

Most people in and around these fora race their training (the CTC, the ranking, the nonathlon, etc.).

Not good.

You risk overtraining.

If you race your training, you feel tired all the time.
