Yes, in a previous post someone recommended that to me. It seemed a little overwhelming to me since I was only doing 2ks at the time but it seems a lot more feasible now. Thanks!Dreadfish wrote:i think he means work up to a 30 min row then up to a 10k row.
looking at your 30 min row your distance puts you in the top 20 of the ranked rows so well done again.
i would just look at doing meters and possibly look at the beginner Pete Plan
the BPP is a 24 week program and is a structured program to increase fitness and distances etc

Just ment to build time/distance.rowmania wrote:
For 30 minute 10k, that’s super fast. Did you mean some other distance or time? Just wondering what I could aim for other than the 30 minutes 6.1k that I just did.
30 min 10k s are not possible

And don,t race those sessions, its to build your fitness.
Re Jerek, talked about erg data, which does use height/weight, I myself get faster scores adjusted.

@ Rowmania, congrats on the 30 min session. Neg splitting is a nice addition too

Re: Weight Adjustment - how much meaning should I make of it
Not much, there are far too many variables involved; sex, age, technique, past training, height, build...I’m curious to know how much I should make of this.
However, some guideline based on weight can help. I've noticed that I get fit if I work at 1.5 W/kg, with weight based on BMI 23. I'm 1.88, and 23H²=81kg. So I stay over 120Watt.
Young and with a body mass of 47 kg you can expect to train distance at 70 to 100 W (1.5 to 2W/kg), if not more.
2k is doable for most at 3 to 4 W/kg if not too old for it, after enough endurance work, so 140 to 180 W for you. 160 Watt is pace 2:10 and 8:40 x 2k, so you're doing well.
NB a horse might weigh 500 kg and is said to produce 1 HP = 750W: 1.5 W/kg. Don't see why we should do any more on a long term basis, especially if we think at least half that 500kg is muscle.

Ah good point. Still, even the online calculator will give faster scores for anyone who weighs less than about 120kg.hjs wrote:Re Jerek, talked about erg data, which does use height/weight, I myself get faster scores adjusted.
