Were you on the forum when Byron Drachman was still posting here? He had fascinating stories about having to break the ice at the dock in order to get his single launched (equipped with safety pontoons for the winter). Part of his gear was pogies to protect his hands.Edward4492 wrote:I guess I'm Captain Obvious here, but I wear a rowing uni.At the gym I wear a tee shirt over it, take the tee off while I'm rowing and put it back on when I'm done. Lycra doesn't get sopping wet with sweat like cotton . OTW same thing. Half the people at our boat house wear unis' so no big deal. With the cold weather I add an Under Armor top and cycling leg warmers, So far been out down to 35 degrees (F) and very comfortable.I also have a closet full of cycling gear which I pull from and a couple of tri-suits; very comfortable.
Note: I was about to switch this over to send it as a PM. I was concerned about hijacking. Then I noticed that the thread title included rowing and decided that it was not inappropriate.
