Opted for the CTC today. As the 6k is a rankable distance I thought I could try a PB. Last one being from last summer where I was in my very best shape since I started rowing.

Felt mentally and physically tired. But heart rate told my I could go for it. I beat my time by 4 second. So I think I’m fit again. Pretty proud but now I will have an easy week (and hopefully better sleep  )

Thx! Yes my right arm and shoulder are fine since I started ramping up meters again in February. I changed to slightly firmer grip and I think that made the difference.

Well done Julia. You're making notable progress, and your sub eight 2k is getting closer. I really like that last 1k

Marathon PB by accident.
It all started with "do it for the pin". I opted for the average pace of my FM I did nearly 2 years ago, so went with 2:02.x.
Halfway done I thought I could ramp up the pace, as I did in the first one as well and see how that goes. No intentions for a massive PB, as strength session yesterday and Rowbin Hood session the day before took really something out of me, which is indicated by the higher starting HR.

Code: Select all

Time	Meters	Pace	Watts	Cal/Hr	S/M	♥️
2:47:07	42,195	1:58.8	209	1018	20	154
21:35.5	5,300	2:02.2	192	959	19	141
21:35.3	10,600	2:02.1	192	960	19	144
21:34.7	15,900	2:02.1	192	961	19	140
21:29.7	21,200	2:01.6	194	968	19	152
20:44.1	26,500	1:57.3	216	1045	21	164
20:18.4	31,800	1:54.9	230	1093	22	167
20:22.5	37,100	1:55.3	228	1085	22	167
19:26.8	42,195	1:54.5	233	1102	23	161
I've done this with no food and drinks again. Two small sips to wet my mouth at ca. 25 and 35k. At second "break" I put some small pads under my butt, as I had some discomfort the first time (more on the left side, indicating I'm not working fully symmetrical). This is why the split is a bit slower.

Ha! Some accident. Huge jump in pace for the second half - shows sub 2:45 well within reach. Great stuff Sascha.

Thx Mike B)
It was not planned, but something klicked and I was in the game
Actually I wanted to do this 'easy' on ~2:02 all the way...
Next time fully recovered and planned. Then I can see what's possible.
