My knowledge of vegetable matter and their effects has increased ten fold. I have also got a cracking recipe for a dip that will(if ingested in the correct quantity) knock England into another time zone. Lets hope he missatributes some more quotes so we can discuss the pressing matters of the day.

Try logging out and then trying it on your own blog.

Good point. I guess someone could make a separate sock-puppet account for such mischief.

Oh, and don't misattribute quotes - you know what happens!

I tried both on my own blog as tests, but the count stayed the same. I must be missing something here.

This morning I went to ranger's bog on the UK site ... I scroll down and see it was viewed 11 times.

I click the page refresh button and it went up 1. I did a shift+F5 and the counter didn't change. I did a F5 and it went up 1. I held down the F5 key for maybe 10 seconds and when the screen came back it showed 185 views ... so "faking" it is possible.

Which made me wonder ... why doesn't ranger create a second account to deal with bans?

Byron ... the best thing about your condensed versions is you get all the funny stuff without 100 pages of "I will, if, better" to slog through.

Because we'd find out (a point not unique to ranger, I should make clear).

Of course it's you, you moron. You have nothing better to do.

Your DF arpeggio didn't produce the response you were craving so you thought you'd inflate the numbers to make yourself -- or was it your other self? -- feel better

Good luck with it.

Awesome! This is the best news I have heard all week! Thank you!

Even if you never post here again, remember this - no matter what all of those other naysayers think, you will always be a 7:02.3 2k guy to me. Pretty respectable for a 60 year old. Kudos!

another classic

Among my favorites is this classic hit:
Ranger wrote:March 8, 2011: I've got the video of my 500, 1:34 @ 32 spm (13 SPI, 10 MPS). So, now I am just waiting on macroth's. After he posts his video and we have time to examine it closely and discuss it thoroughly, as he likes to do, I'll post mine.

Since I was helping macroth examine ranger's training, would he extend me the same guarantee? If so I'll post a 1:34/32 within 24 hours of him agreeing to the swap of videos. Ranger, this would be more entertaining for you because macroth can do this half asleep with no warmup. It might actually make me sweat a little bit so you'll be able to tear my technique apart as I fatigue.

8 x 500m r32/2' rest, negative splitted. Second workout, after a fairly hard 4 x 6' OTW this morning.

01] 1:36.6 388w r31 12.5 spi
02] 1:35.8 398w r31 12.8 spi
03] 1:35.7 399w r31 12.9 spi
04] 1:35.2 406w r31 13.1 spi
05] 1:33.6 427w r32 13.3 spi
06] 1:33.1 434w r32 13.6 spi
07] 1:33.1 434w r32 13.6 spi
08] 1:30.2 477w r33 14.5 spi

4000m total work distance in 12:33.2, per PM average 1:34.1 pace 419w r31; I make it 31.6 so 13.3 spi. Gosh. That's eight reps, on two minutes rest, severely negative splitted and still faster than HDPE v M-B can do one stand-alone piece.
Cue the 'rowing well for HWs is 16 spi' fol-de-rol, never mind that age-group WR 2k pace is 1:34.7. And that without the negative-splitting these would have been around 1:33.6 on average if evenly paced.

Today's maths lesson is 'how does one piece not done predict a result better than eight reps factually done'? The winner gets to stand for office in Ann Arbor, for the "Know Nothing" party.
