Not if you're a compulsive liar and have difficulty recalling the last lie that you told.
You're the liar, asshole, not me.

I am racing every week.

Are you?

The erg is a truth machine.

ranger
wow, captain crankypants is getting worse...

reminder, rangerboy, you haven't raced every week. I didn't see you in Boston, at the big show. When you did race, your times were 7:11 and 6:51 and 6:43.

The erg is indeed a truth machine; it shows you're in decline, it shows you don't know how to prepare for a race, and it shows on average Mike is faster than you.

Now take your lithium and go to bed.

I'll try to post 8 x 500m @ 1:35, 4 x 1K @ 1:38, and 4 x 2K @ 1:42 this week.

All of these predict 1:38 for 2K.

ranger
Of course, you haven't done those either. If you don't or can't do those this week, do you then admit that you're waning?

I can understand not wanting to say that a given race is your best effort. After all, who wants to say that his or her best just isn't good enough? (You can buy the poster here -- http://www.despair.com/fail24x30pri.html!)

But there's at least a 20% difference in watts between what you've done this year and what you say you'll do. Is that really a matter of training your heart rate (have you tried dog biscuits? have you watched the heart whisperer?) or doing more AT work?

Hmmm, looks like I'm a lot closer to the truth than you'll ever be

Good point. In retrospect, I should have made a recording of Rob, Xeno, or Santiago to use at home. John Mills also did that chore for me in Copenhagen, but I don't think that he was there for the whole 2K.

I am meeting _all_ of my expectations.

Obviously not. You've stated many times on this thread and it's predecessor that you would...

Row a 6:16
Row a 6:28 (wasn't that the whole point of one of your previous threads?)
Break the LWT 55-59 world record.

Your expectations were clear. You've achieved none of them.

Just post a single 500M to the C2 Log, I for one would be happy with that.

Here is my X in the box.

And since no one is ever going to pay me for erging there is only one type of training: training to enjoy the time we have here.

Enjoy the journey of life, whoops, I mean the training of life.
