Thank you all. The next target is FM under 3h.
This should be possible for you. 15k/60min managed without collapsed cv system in the end, only slightly risen HR, which indicates that this is not full effort, but getting harder. So starting with 2:06 and then holding on to that for the whole distance should you easily get there 👍

Btw, also one of my goals to finish my first FM ever this season 😄

Yes, 2:06 was my target pace that I had in mind, too. From my last FM I know that there is always something happening that gives you in the end a pace that is a bit higher than the target.

Good luck with yours. Do you have any target pace in mind?

My season goal is to get at least into 95th percentile of my ranking group from 2k upwards. For the FM that means a pace of 1:59...
Not sure if I can manage that. Only did 3 steady state sessions with around 30k, which felt fine, but all had a pace from 2:03 to 2:06, which is significantly slower. But all were done at R18 to r20, so there is headroom.

1:59 would be a great achievement for the first FM. Good luck with that.

Indeed 😄
Thank you! Before attacking FM I will go for 60min and HM PBs, as I need to update them for the season goal, which I think will work well for both.
FM is another story, as I have no idea what will happen in the last quarter, if I go for 1:59 the first 30k 🤷

Did 8:15 PB for 2k today. Previous best 8:23 10 days ago.
However a bit dissappointed expected 8:10 ish. Didn''t feel strong before start , bad nights sleep,, and won't be rowing again in local gym at 9am on Sundays, too busy and too many distractions

Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
8:15.4 2,000m 2:03.8 184 934 29
2:04.3 500m 2:04.3 182 927 28
2:03.7 500m 2:03.7 185 936 29
2:04.3 500m 2:04.3 182 927 30
2:03.1 500m 2:03.1 188 945 30

However, I did pace it better, probably because I didn't feel strong enough to go too fast too early like I usually do!

International Women's Day was forcing me to plan a 5k PB for today and so I did.

This is for all women out there 😊

Code: Select all

Time	Meters	Pace	Watts	Cal/Hr	S/M	HR
17:40.5	5,000m	1:46.0	293	1309	28	169
1:44.7	500m	1:44.7	305	1349	28	161
1:45.2	500m	1:45.2	301	1334	28	166
1:45.4	500m	1:45.4	299	1328	28	168
1:45.7	500m	1:45.7	296	1320	29	169
1:45.9	500m	1:45.9	295	1314	28	170
1:46.1	500m	1:46.1	293	1308	28	171
1:47.9	500m	1:47.9	279	1258	27	170
1:48.3	500m	1:48.3	276	1248	28	171
1:46.0	500m	1:46.0	294	1311	29	173
1:45.3	500m	1:45.3	300	1331	31	174
I started with 1:45, but after the first k I knew this will not work for 5k. So I tried to hang on for 1:46, had to drop off a bit for the 4th km to be able to finish strong and get 1:46 average.
As it is not a bad neither a good day, I am satisfied with the result. Chopping >16s from the old PB 👍
