I'm not doing this on purpose, honest.... but just smashed another one.

Had been aiming at ~12600 (120W) but I felt good and allowed a little more effort as the HR was staying low - until the 40mins point. Fatigue rally kicked in and it was a mental battle to dig in. Legs were like lead at the end.

Previous distance was 12295 last month

First "Time Trial" of the season, in prep for world's. 345m (nicely divisible by 3).

Was pleasantly surprised with my ability to hold onto 1:08s for about 35 seconds, before the inevitable fade.

345m: 47.3s / 108.5 / 1089w / 48spm

115m: 15.8s / 1:08.6 /1084w / 50spm

Just for context Cam, the other Cam (Buchanan) posted a max watts test on Insta; only seven strokes and he achieved 1084w.

If you're only pleasantly surprised with holding 1084w for 35 seconds, what would make you really happy?

Cheers, Martin!

Stu, what will make me happy is: 3 more months of solid training, uninterruoted by illness or injury!!!

Nick, I *think* that I'm about a split faster than I was at this time last year. Though, no titles are won in November.
