My daily training is improving my technique, not my fitness and aerobic capacity, which motivate screen shots.

The results of my improved technique will only be documented when I train for and race the various events.

I am doing that now for the FM.

When I am done with that, I will move on to the HM, 60min, 10K, 30min, 6K, and 5K, in that order.

I am delighted with my training.

It is coming along beautifully.

Another great 20K of "Steamrollering" this morning, no heart rates over 155 bpm.

Don't know what was up yesterday.

In a similar row, my HR floated along at 170 bpm.

It didn't _feel_ like I was working that hard, though.

Must have been hot or something.

This "Steamrollering" is getting better and better, every day.

I need to stretch the distance to 40K, though, just putting in the meters, taking good strokes.

1500 strokes this morning.

I need to put in 3500.

A couple of hours OTBike after breakfast, just to loosen up and stay lean.

Vacation!

Ahhhhhh.

I don't have to go back to teach until March 8th.

The wife and I might go on a little ski trip, just to pass the time and kick up our heels a bit.

in your training, Rich.. will you beat Osterling's 1:53.6 pace for the marathon?

We'll see, I guess.

My goal is 1:48/2:32 @ 22 spm.

That's Slocum's long-standing 50s hwt FM WR.

My FM pb is 1:54/2:40, but that was rowing poorly (10 SPI) at high drag (200+ df.).

I now row well (12-13 SPI) at low drag (119 df.).

I'll now row a FM in a 4.2-to-1 ratio.
