So Rich:
Are you retreating from your claim that this
"HOT AIR" workout you do is at an average pace of 1:46...?

What was the pace today? You have it at you disposal.
Please tell us.

And yesterday...(?)
And the day before .... (?)

Actually, my technique OTErg was so good this morning, and my fitness OTBike was so strong and steady, I am not sure whether I will need the nine 1' breaks.

I think I might just be able to row a HM right through, especially if I stick to 1:48 rather than pushing it to 1:46.

The rate on "Steamroller" seems to be closer to 22 spm than 23 spm.

1:48 for a HM would best Oesterling's 60s hwt WR by two seconds per 500m, even though a HR of 160 bpm would be taking it easy, vis-a-vis a trial.

In a trial, I could push my HR to 170 bpm for most of the row, and kicking it in over the last couple of Ks, drive my HR up to 185 bpm by the end.

I won't do that this weekend. I'll put that off a couple of weeks, until I get in some more "Steamroller" sessions and long bike ride--and do a FM trial.

My HR has been floating along at 160 bpm, steady state, when I am pulling 1:48 @ 22 spm (12.5 SPI).

80% HRR

I don't time my "Steamroller" workouts. I just take good strokes and work hard.

But as I mentioned, if I am going to time a HM this weekend, my training is coming along so well that I think I might prefer to just row it straight through, 1:48 @ 22 spm (12.5 SPI), without the 9 1' breaks in the 10 x 2K format, partly because it would be a slap at a 60s hwt HM WR rather than being just a modified Zatopek session.

Your overall average for the 20K was 2:13, given the rests, and even so, you didn't keep your HR anywhere near 135 bpm.

You pushed it all the way up to your anaerobic threshold.

The 60s hwt HM WR is 1:50; the 60s lwt HM WR is 1:54.

As you've said repeatedly: THis thread is not about "racing one's workouts"
Show the 10x2k/1:00r workout Rich. Don't go dodging elsewhere, trying to hide.

Sure.

I'll do the 10 x 2K sesssion, too.

A HM, just rowed right through, is entirely comparable, though, as you demonstrated, and is more exciting to do for me, because I think I can now do the HM @ 1:48, which is under the 60s hwt WR of 1:50.

BTW, 1:48 for a HM would be a pb for me.

A HM, rowed right through, is not going off to hide.

A HM, rowed right through, eliminates the nine 1' rests in the 10 x 2K session, and therefore is harder to do.

Give it a go yourself.

You'll see.

Can you do a HM @ 1:58?

Story of your life.

How about some training details? How long did you actually row, without a break this morning. When you did take a break, how long was it? How about some guidance and details for us 'newbies' learning how to train?

A few posts ago you said:
" I do not time my workouts "

Let's be clear in agreement:
One cannot know one's
average pace over a 10x2k/1:00rest unless it is timed and able to be recalled by the monitor.
There is only one conclusion we can draw from this: You wish to hide what you actually do in training. (Big Surprise!)

Magnify the screen shot I've provided above on your ownscreen.
See the first workout?
What does it say?
It says: "Feb 24 10x 2000m/1:00r"

You a quite able to do the same with your PM4.
Are't we lucky? We don't need you, yourself, to time the workout!... The PM4 does it for you! :P
We can trust the PM4!

Consult your PM4 manual or Concept2 on their 800 number and they will help you with this . :P
You could dispel doubt everyone here has by providing a similar screen shot....
Have you considered that option? We've asked you repeatedly now but you have ignored the question.

If you remain steadfast in not sharing anything we will henceforth consider that you are unable to perform training up to the standard you have claimed (1:46 pace /UT/ 10 x 2k/1:00r)
There is a word for people like you, but it is not polite.
