As a neophyte, it has helped me to understand better some of the tips that are offered on the forum. I plan to make the trek to get some personal instruction at Xeno's establishment, but for now it has to wait.
Noob question and intro
Just got my erg. Looks like it had an eventful trip, the box had been re-taped but it was also torn down the center, surprisingly all the parts were inside and not a scratch on the erg.
Been puttering around on it for the last couple hours on and off. Row 2 or 3 minutes, watch a rowing vid, go back for another couple minutes...That kind of thing. So far my problem is pace. I am in a hurry so the flywheel isn't slowing that much by the time I catch(drag in the 120s)... Started on going strapless, that helps. Little by little I am getting it.
One thing that had me worried has been put aside for now, my gimpy knee isn't a problem on the erg, other than flexibility, I think that is part of my pace problem also, my stroke needs to start a little deeper... That will come.
