The Finish Stroke

Post by marvy1 » February 10th, 2007, 11:53 am

Hello! I am a new user and I have a question on the finish part of the stroke:

At the end of the stroke I lean back slightly and I can feel my abs working at this point.

Is this correct technigue?

Thanks! - Marvin

from what i have been taught this isn't quite right(unless im not understanding your question). the correct way to stop your upper body momentum at the end of the drive is to use your arms instead of your abs. blend(just a little bit) the opening of the back with pulling the handle in with the arms more instead of separating the two.

*disclaimer* this is only what i have been told, and i am by no means a professional rower/erger.
